How do you know if a hypnotherapist is right for you or no? Every therapist must offer at least a 20min. telephone or face-to-face consultation. Even if they have been referred to you by someone you trust completely, how would you know if the therapist is the right one for you. A few questions to ask before you set up your appointment.

10 questions to ask...
1. How many hours of training did they receive in hypnotherapy?
2. Which institute did they train from?
3. Is the institute accredited? If so, nationally or at the state level, or does it have international accredition?
4. Is the institute recognized by the department of education?
5. What modality of hypnosis do they use? Elmann? Esterbrooks? Ericksonian? Kappasinian?
6. Have them de-mistify hypnosis for you?
7. As them for at least three written testimonials?
8. A professional is always a member of an association. Find out which association they are affiliated with.
9. Go check out the association they mention. Every association today has a website. Check out the website and see if their name shows up on the listing of the association.
10. Last but not the least, if something does not feel right, then it isn't right. Trust your gut.
